This is the first time in the history of Indian football that an Indian player has done an off season camp outside the country.
"Football is my first love and passion and I always wanted to play football from my childhood. I am very fortunate that my family supported me in my desire," the Indian football sensation told Xinhua on Wednesday.
"I remember my elder brother taking me to Calcutta for matches and still today, my mother is always tensed whenever I am playing a game which is coming live on television," he said.

"Kenyan football is superior to the Indian game but only in some aspects. I believe Indian footballers are ahead skill wise but as far as fitness, strength, stamina and speed go, Kenyan players are way ahead of us."

"I used to see Omollo playing and it was a treat to watch. Sammy is highly respected as a footballer in Calcutta," he told Xinhua.

Omollo, 43, is a former Kenyan international football defender who played club football for league champions, Gor Mahia and Tusker FC, who are also former title holders.
He signed a professional contract with East Bengal in 1996 and after two seasons moved to Mohun Bagan A.C for another three seasons.

"During that time I was very fortunate when the boss of First Sports Events, Tapan Roy, offered me a contract with their company, and knowing the company's reputation, I never thought twice."

KUNMING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-five passengers on board a plane in southwest China city of Kunming were taken away by local police after they quarreled with the crew and opened some emergency exits of the plane on Saturday.
The China Eastern Airlines flight, MU2036 from Kunming of southwest China's Yunnan Province to Beijing, was scheduled to take off at 8:45 p.m. Friday. But it was delayed by continuing snow until the early morning of Saturday.
Passengers finished boarding the aircraft at 1:40 a.m. and then waited for ice on the plane to be cleared. An elderly woman felt uncomfortable after hours of waiting. Concerning her physical condition, many other passengers demanded explanation by the captain.
